Funds for Programs, Events, and Projects

The foundation provides grants of $500 to Community Tennis Associations, schools, community centers, foundations, and similar groups to promote the growth and development of tennis, particularly among underserved populations.  Guidelines for selection:

*     Prefer submissions made by a CTA, school, school system, community center,  or  nonprofit organization which leverages other funding sources

*     Introduces the sport of tennis to new or underserved populations in Tennessee

*     Promotes inclusion and diversity

*     Enhances opportunities for Tennessee youth to pursue collegiate play careers




New for 2018 - $1,000 one-time grants for tennis court construction and upgrades to public tennis facilities.

The foundation provides one-time grants for public facilities' new tennis court construction and upgrades.  This is intended to serve as seed money for fundraising programs and spur construction & upgrades of public tennis courts in Tennessee. 

*     Examples include obtaining architectural and engineering plans, matching grants with local, state, and federal governmental funds.


*     This grant can be used to leverage partnerships with community tennis associations, public schools and schools systems, youth programs and foundations, public colleges and universities, and other non-private partners. 


*     Rolling application deadline.


The applications for both grant programs are completely online and you will receive a decision on your application within 60 days after the application is completely submitted.  The grant infosheet and application is available here and requires that you upload a one-page proposal, a one-page budget, and a two-page grant accountability report.
